With the clouds looming high into the sky, the air still and warm the pending rain was inevitable.  I just sat and watched the sun slowly hide behind the clouds giving way to a gray Sunday kinda day.    This oil on canvas measures 48x40 and is sold

"SOFTBALL & FIREFLIES" original oil painting on canvas

The canvas. WOW! this was a workout, I kept going back and fourth with the placement of everything even though I used my smaller painting as a guide.  There are things that I wanted a little different so the journey was a lot longer to complete and make work.  It will be interesting to see if I leave it alone or add something here and there.. : )

"HARVEST"

The photo this painting was taken form was a trip through Kansas.  I lost count on how many paintings I have accomplished from that ride across this wonderful part of our country.  So much to see.  I painted this in my B&W method of a chiving my black coloring.  The canvas was also heavily gessoed so there was virtually no texture of canvas.  the painting is 40x40 and has been sold.
